Where are you from?

Corpus Christi, TX

What position do you like playing the most in volleyball?

Middle

Why do you play volleyball?

Volleyball is my passion and playing it is my escape from everything. Such an amazing sport to be able to focus on and helped me get through college and stay focused on my dreams. I love the fast pace and I loved the people I have met through volleyball.

Who is one volleyball player (athlete) that you are inspired by and why?

Kerri Walsh Jennings. She is a three time Olympic gold medalist. Grew up admiring her and Misty May because they seemed like great teammates and worked very hard. They showed extreme passion in each game and I always wanted to try to be that kind of athlete.

Why do you coach?

I had a coach who really inspired me to love the game and I hope to do the same for my players. I love to help girls grow both on and off the court.

What do you value most in your players?

I value positive attitudes, hard work, and players that are willing to buy into what I am trying to teach.

What is your most embarrassing volleyball moment?

I can only imagine the stories my teammates have about all of my many embarrassing moments. One that probably sticks out the most would be, we were doing hitting lines in practice and it was my turn to hit and I was calling for a speed really loud. Well my setter set the most perfect set, and then my coach is watching this set waiting for me to kill it but……I was not in the air but laying on the 10 foot line because I had tripped over myself….
