Where are you from?

Kent, WA

What position do you like playing the most in volleyball?

Libero / Defensive Specialist

Why do you play volleyball?

I first started plaing volleyball because it was a sport that I quickly learned and understood. As i became more experienced and skilled, it was a gateway to de-stress, exercise and to build leadership and team skills.

Who is one volleyball player (athlete) that you are inspired by and why?

I am inspired by my current college coach, Angela Spoja because I have never met someon who is so compelled and so passionate about the sport and dedicatees so much time and energy to provide a great program for the school. I admire who she is and appreciate how much she challenges wme to become both a better volleyball player and a better person off the court.

Why do you coach? What excites you about coaching?

I coach because I have had many great coaches in teh past who have mentored me and guided me in the right paths to become a successful volleyball player. I want to give back to my community by utilizing what I have learned throughout my many years of playing and help nurture the new generation of volleyball players.

What do you value most in your players?

Effort, coachability and open communication

What is your most embarrassing volleyball moment?

My junior year of college b all playing for the Evergreen State College, I was playing left back defense against Northwest Christian University and they had game point. Their right-side was going up to hit and last second, she tipped the ball right over the block. I read the tip and as I wa making the move to run up to cover the tip, I slipped on my teammates sweat that wasn't wiped up thoroughly from the previous play. The tip dropped, and they won the match, ending the game.
