Where are you from?

I grew up in Lynnwood, Washington, went to Lynnwood High School, then was recruited to play at Seattle University.

What position do you like playing the most in volleyball?

Outside Hitter

Who is one volleyball player (athlete) that you are inspired by and why?

I am inspired by my best friend, Bianca Rowland. She played middle at University of Washington and went straight on to play professional volleyball in Switzerland, Germany, and France. I love her passion for the game and constant desire to improve and reach to her highest potential.

Why do you play volleyball?

Because it′s fun! I can′t get enough of it.

Why do you coach? What excites you about coaching?

I coach because I love to see the confidence and growth that comes from developing skill sets and seeing success. I love seeing the excitement and happiness after a great swing or perfect pass, and the "ah-ha" moment that follows. Growing up I had several influential coaches that have molded me into the player I am today and I see it as an honor to pass along my knowledge to other players that are passionate to learn and grow in volleyball as well.

What do you value most in your players?

Attitude and effort! I look for players with lion hearts – one that will never give up and fight until the end. Life is about growth and development and it takes passion to achieve these goals, therefore I value players that want to improve and take the risk of making mistakes.

What is your most embarrassing volleyball moment?

My freshman year of college, one of the first matches we had was against UW. I was the first server of the match and went back to the line to top spin serve. The toss went up and I saw myself on the jumbo screen, got distracted and hit the ball straight down. You can say I set the tone for a solid butt whooping from UW that night lol
